Taking a serene canoe ride in the early morning in the Pacific Northwest is the best! You may see magnificent fog or get a clear view of the Olympic mountains. Seagulls and herons gliding across the water, finding breakfast, or sitting on a wooden log or piling are a delight to watch while paddling by. And when you are finished a good cup of coffee awaits! This canoe with a mast and sail is made of wood and clear fiberglass, giving the rider a window into the water. This work is the result of taking one of my original photographs of a man with his canoe and creating a digital sketch. Enjoy!

An Asian flavour to this incredibly well done serene artwork, Cheryl! Peaceful feelings emanate from this image just as they would from gazing into the water from the window of the canoe ; Happy Easter!;))

Very lovely sepia scene, Cheryl, and I loved the thought of the clear fiberglass of the canoe. So much more to see and light.... L/f

Thank you very much, Kathy! Yes, the clear fiberglass would be fun to see what's beneath you in the water!

Your artwork is extraordinary dear Cheryl.... I'm sitting here enjoying all the fine detail of your masterpiece.... :-) Did I ever tell you my late father was an artist?... and oil painter. He did landscapes and abstracts and his works were quite well known especially in the Colorado Springs area. I'll have to show you some of his works sometime. I know you would appreciate them... :-) Blessings dear friend... FV
Cheryl Rose replied:
Thank you kindly, Nick! Appreciate and glad you enjoyed!! You must have inherited the "artistic gene!" :)
