Description
Whatcom Creek meanders through 4-miles of lush nature, including three waterfalls, before emptying into Bellingham Bay. The word -Whatcom- (or Xwtqwem) means noisy or rumbling water in the language of the native Lummi Nation. This outcropping of rock in Whatcom Creek is a pretty place to relax and enjoy the shade of the fir trees and the rippling water bubbling over rocks. Whatcom Falls is just a few feet to the right. I think you might see some animal art created by nature in those flat rocks.
Pretty Whatcom Creek is one of five photographs included in my Whatcom Creek series.
